Disha

How Disha works

The game names an Indian city and asks you to place it on an unlabelled map. After every submitted point, Disha tells you how many kilometres away you are and which direction to travel. Earlier attempts remain visible, so each clue helps you triangulate a better answer.

You have four attempts and solve the puzzle by landing within 100 kilometres of the city and in the correct state. A close guess across a state border is identified without revealing the target state. The format turns map learning into a short process of inference rather than a memory test. Over time, players become more comfortable with the relative positions of Indian cities, states, coasts and regions. Disha is free to play in the browser, with a new city at midnight IST.

Disha keeps unsuccessful guesses as neutral map markers so they remain useful evidence. Distance narrows the search area, while the compass direction tells you how to correct the next point. A successful attempt is clearly marked in green.
