Indian history, culture and object-discovery game

Khoj

How Khoj works

Every edition presents three images: something made, something minted and something found. Players examine a craft or museum object, a coin and a natural-history specimen, then answer one focused multiple-choice question about what they can infer from it.

After each answer, Khoj reveals a concise caption with the object’s identity, place or period and one useful fact. Questions cover materials, techniques, inscriptions, ritual use, political authority, geology and visual change. Khoj is designed to make Indian history and general knowledge approachable through close looking rather than long trivia prompts. It is free in the browser and refreshes daily at midnight IST.

The three-part structure connects human creativity, exchange and the natural world in one short session.
